This is an update for everyone that reads here and is interested in the Mr Lid containers. I’ve been using them for over 2 years now and they are still working without any problems! I have expanded my collection of the plastic food storage containers because they are so handy, I use them for everything.
I have used the Mr Lid containers for lunches, left-overs, sewing, essential oils, and much more. My husband has even used them for holding ammo, nuts and bolts, first aid kits, and countless other things. Anything that will fit in the Mr Lid deluxe kit will stay safe and protected from the outside. More than once a one my Tupperware with lid have fallen from the fridge and they have never popped open.
I used to have lots of problems trying to find lids for my containers even when they were color coded. I used to have the kind with the locking lid on the container and the gaskets inside were different colored. I didn’t like those because the container itself would warp in the dish washer and it was hard to get the lids to fit after a few months.
The Mr Lid containers have lasted for years now and have not stopped working in any way. They have not warped in the dish washer, they have not melted in microwaves, and the hinge for the lids is still working just fine making a perfect seal.
One thing I like to do with my containers with lids is put my take home food from restaurants in them. I always notice that when I would keep my food from restaurants in the normal Styrofoam to-go boxes in the fridge is that the food would get dry and the lid would have all the condensation on it. So the lid was wet from the moisture coming out of the food. Now I keep my take home food from restaurants in my plastic food storage containers with lids and it keeps it fresh.
I like that it my containers no longer take up a lot of storage space in my cupboards. I keep the lids open when I’m putting them away and they all stack on each other very easily.
One thing that is very important to me is that it is BPA free. A lot of my family uses glass Tupperware instead of plastic because they don’t want the BPA. However their containers don’t have connected lids, they glass chips or breaks and they’re very expensive. I can safely use my containers because I know I won’t be getting any harmful chemicals from them. It’s nice for warming things up for lunches as well because they can simply be put into the microwave, heat up the foot and eat right from it with no mess.
There really are no better plastic food storage containers out there. I love mine and will continue to use them for years to come.
